Benjamin Murgua Archundia born in 1973 in Mexico City. Received a degree in Art from La Esmeralda National School of Painting, Sculpture and Etchings in Mexico City. He has collaborated in different projects with artists such as Maria Bustamante, Gilberto Aceves Navarro and Francisco Toledo. Since 1998 he has taken a revision of the most elemental problems of the visual representation and the manual execution of painting. In 2003 realized an interpretation of a mural “Sueno de una tarde dominical en la alameda central” (Dream of a Sunday afternoon at the tree-lined central avenue” from Diego Rivera located at El Cardenal at the Sheraton Hotel of the Historic Center in Mexico City. He has participated in diverse collective exhibits throughout Mexico City.
On Friday, July 9th,2010 at 9:30am our dearest friend and artist Benjamin Murguia lost his battle against cancer. He fought valiantly and with determination against this terrible illness. A Tremendous Talent and Friend. He made the world a better place through His Life & Art.
